Box front
The top hatch opens, and control pod (the "head") rotates. The kit has swiveling gun turrets.
Finished model is 16.5cm (6.5 inches) high.
Main problems with this kit are:
- Viewports are molded into place, so they can`t be placed into open position. This can be fixed by drilling them out completely and putting new covers on the model, which can be made from sheet styrene;
- the legs are unmovable;
- the hip joints are hollow, and they are somewhat out of shape.
Nonetheless, after some modifications and work, this kit can be built up into a nice looking model.
• This Airfix kit is reissue of MPC kit number 1-1976.
