Non-Airfix Star Wars model kits

Kits from 1970s

These model kits from 70s were never released under Airfix brand. MPC (part of General Mills Inc, USA) produced almost all of them. General Mills released some of those kits in Europe through its subsidiaries: Denys Fisher (UK), Meccano S.A. (France) and Kenner (Germany). When General Mills acquired Airfix in 1981 (through its Palitoy subsidiary), Star Wars kits in Europe started to be released under the Airfix brand. Clipper (Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg), Toltoys (Australia, New Zealand) and Revell/Takara (Japan) also made some of these kits.
